My New Project for April -- Tile Tango

When you make a little girl a baby quilt, and she loves it so much that she keeps it on her bed long after she has outgrown it, she deserves a new quilt.  A big girl quilt!  There are so many pretty quilt patterns available from which to choose these days.  I decided to use the Tile Tango pattern by Atkinson Designs for Aemarys's quilt.

You can see that I starting pulling from my "Brights" stash when I came across this colorful version! I wish I knew where I found this photo; I would certainly give credit for it.

So far I only have one block completed, but that's enough to qualify as a new project for the 2013 NewFo Challenge!

I'm getting a little nervous about all these new projects.  If I don't get them finished this calendar year I'll have to move them to my UFO list.  I don't like that.........

Linking up to Barbara's Linky Party.  Go over there and check out what other quilters have started this month!

L*O*V*E the colors. OK - the Quilt Police have stated that this is enough. You must finish one before you begin one for the remainder of the year. :) BTW - that "Big Girl" is one Blessed young lady.

Oh I love all the colors in that one. Thanks for linking up. Your boys are so handsome. I am a mother of boys as well.

I love Tile Tango - such a bright and cheery quilt! I think it would work for any age. Your block is a great beginning!

I go thru periods of lots of new starts then lots of finishes and that way I can work on whatever catches my fancy! I think my life would be stagnant without new quilting starts! Happy quilting! ~Jeanne

Tile Tango sure looks like it's going to be a really great quilt for a girl's bed. I might have to looking into doing that one myself; however, it would have to be in colors for a boy. I only have 1 grandson, but I think it would really work! Plus, I love making 9 patches as that is my favorite block. Happy Quilting!

Great colors Sandy. As you know, 9-patches are one of my favorites and "go-to" blocks when I just want to sit and sew. It will be so cute when you finish it -- next week, right?? lol
