Starting a New Project

Don't you love starting a new project? My husband asked me about 8 months ago to make a baby quilt for a co-worker who is to become a brand new Gramma. Naturally I waited until said baby is set to arrive before deciding on a pattern and pulling the fabric. (I'm sure I am the only quilter who does this!) I purchased the focus fabrics quite a while ago and have been saving them for just the right quilt. Not until I looked at the selvedge edge this morning did I realize just how long ago. These Timeless Treasure fabrics were actually made in 2001. (((gulp!)))
I have been to 5 quilt shops looking for coordinating fabrics. I had no idea it would be almost impossible to find simple designs in basic colors on a white background! I'm done shopping (after all, my stash can only grow so fast!) and have everything ready to cut. Take a look at the fabrics. The next time you see them, they will be in the form of an adorable quilt top.

What lovely fabrics Sandy ..... can't wait to see what you're going to come up with. Is it finished yet?
