I got all the stars finished and all the strips cut.
When I got the other quilt top put together I decided I didn't like it because there wasn't enough contrast. Most of my neutrals were so similar that it looked like the stars were appliqued to a solid background. Quilting it made all the difference, though. I hand quilted it with aqua thread which made the individual strips stand out a little more.
Of course, a quilt always looks better when the quilting is finished! Now I love this baby quilt!
I am linking up with Barbara at Cat Patches. Now to see what other quilters are up to!

The contrast looks great in the picture. This is definitely a cute quilt and the quilting makes it even more special.
The finished quit looks great - quilting with the aqua thread really made a difference - so glad you thought to use the contrasting thread! Now I can't wait to see the pink star quilt! ~Jeanne
That is very cute. Love the stars and the quilting. Great job.
What a cute baby quilt and I like the aqua quilting thread. What a clever idea.
Your star quilts are beautiful and the contrast of the strips is perfect!
That turned out really cute. I like your choice of neutrals, just enough difference to tell they aren't the same fabrics but not so much that they compete with the stars, so they really shine.
I love the neutrals in the strings playing of that star block in the quilt. It all goes together just beautifully. Great choice for a binding, too.
Don't you just LOVE the magic of the quilting itself? Your blue-star quilt is absolutely gorgeous. I really like the low-volume contrast in the neutrals. Very peaceful and sweet.
