Scrappy Finishes

It's amazing how much you can accomplish when you actually spend time in your sewing room every day.  Two of the three projects I determined to complete before the end of this month are already finished.

"Strings Around the Block" .....

and "Craving Color" .....

..... are made completely from my stash, leftovers, and scraps.

Another quilt I made from what I had on hand is this one made from Valentine's Day fabrics.  Some were left over from pillowcases and some from a fabric swap.

These quilts will go to Choose Life of North Alabama, a charity whose purpose is to provide training in life skills for young women facing pregnancy related decisions.

I'm hoping to make several more for this cause before the end of the year.  If I keep sewing every day I should be able to do that!

I am linking up with "Can I Get a Whoop Whoop!" at Confessions of a Fabric Addict  and "Sew Some Love" at Kat & Cat Quilts.  Check out these blogs for some other quilty projects.

Love your Strings around the Block! Something similar caught my eye in a magazine yesterday and after seeing yours I think I'll give it a try. It's so cheery and bright.

What lovely quilts! I just wanted to invite you to link up any charity-related sewing you do to Sew Some Love. I host a charity sewing link up every Wednesday on my blog. Last week's linky is still open and this week's will go up on Wednesday :)

Those quilts will be appreciated by your local charity and their lucky recipients. Nicely done!!
